Number of ATMs to increase in Turkmenistan rural areas

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the leadership of the country's state-owned commercial Dayhanbank to increase the number of ATMs in rural areas of Turkmenistan, Trend reports referring to the country's Vatan newspaper.

The head of state gave instructions on timely settlements with product manufacturers, increasing the number of ATMs in rural areas, ensuring the constant availability of funds in them and exercising proper control over it.

Moreover, the need for the timely issuance of bank loans to agricultural producers was also noted, the report said.

Dayhanbank State Commercial Bank of Turkmenistan is focused on financing the agro-industrial sector and provides loans to investment projects in industry, construction etc.

The total number of users of the bank's cards comprised 1,421,581 people and the bank had installed 1,029 ATMs as of August 2019.
