Turkmengas State Concern and Uzbek Uztrade JSC have reached an agreement on the supply of ISUZU buses for Turkmenistan's oil and gas industry, Trend reports citing Turkmenistan's State News Agency.
Negotiations on the agreement took place during a meeting of the Turkmenistan - Uzbekistan intergovernmental commission in Ashgabat.
The Uzbek side informed Turkmen colleagues about the possibility of supplying both buses and other vehicles manufactured in Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan.
In recent years, Turkmenistan has been acquiring special vehicles from Russia. Thus, Russian KamAZ trucks are operated in Turkmenistan's oil and gas industry, and are in demand among foreign companies involved in the exploration and production of oil and gas, as well as in the construction sector.
Uztrade operates under Uzbekistan's Foreign Trade Ministry. The company's average annual turnover exceeds $1 billion.
