Iran will export 17 kinds of medicines to Russia, Mohsen Asadi Lari, Director General of the International Cooperation Office of the Iranian Ministry of Health and Medical Education, said.
“These 17 medicines are expected to be approved in Russia,” Asadi added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.
Lari added that a decision was made to increase production of these medicines in Iran.
The director general said that Iran and Russia have been cooperating for five years in the field of pharmaceuticals.
"If the Iranian and Russian companies agree on the technology transfer, the production of medicines may be established in Russia," Lari said.
The director general said that an Iranian company started to produce medicines in Russia’s St. Petersburg city three years ago.
Iran’s Osve Pharmaceutical company launched the production of Fingolimod (mostly used for treating multiple sclerosis) in St. Petersburg in 2016.
