Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Agriculture is planning to export goods of agricultural raw materials processing worth $1.3 billion this year, Trend reports with reference to the press office of the ministry.
Overall, export of processed goods amounted to $757 million, 77 percent of which ($580 million) accounted for export of flour, vegetable oil, milk products, confectionery, press cakes, fish products, chocolate, noodles and poultry meat.
The largest share of manufactured goods export accounts for goods of agricultural raw materials processing and mainly are (31 percent) and vegetable oil (15 percent). Share of chocolate and confectionery in the export is nine percent.
“The revenue from chocolate export amounted to $21 million, whereas income from confectionery export amounted to $42.6 million,” the report said.
As earlier reported by First Vice-Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Aydarbek Saparov, this year the manufacturing of goods from agricultural raw materials increased by 2.5 percent and equaled 1.1 trillion tenge ($3 billion). Saparov also added that the volume of processed goods export increased compared to last year.
