Uzbekistan concludes contacts with Russian companies on textile exports

Uzbekistan’s textile enterprises entered into contracts worth more than $3 million, as well as framework agreements and arrangements, with more than 20 Russian enterprises for the export of a wide range of goods and assortment of textile and hosiery products, Trend reports citing the Uzbek media.

The agreements were reached at a business forum in the format of the Road Show on the topic “Production, Investment and Export Potential of Uzbekistan’s Textile Industry ” organized by Uzbekistan’s Embassy in Russia in conjunction with Uzbekistan’s Uztextile Association and Russian Roslegprom PJSC light industry company.

The forum was attended by Uztextile Association’s delegation, representatives of Russian companies involved in the production and import of textile products, as well as employees of Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, banking and financial institutions, and the all-Russian public organization Business Russia.

The business forum spoke about the prospects for sustainable and long-term cooperation with Russian partners, and also discussed the implementation of joint promising projects and the organization of production and export of finished textile products from Uzbekistan.

The meeting participants were informed about the export potential of Uzbekistan’s textile industry, its capabilities in the production of high-quality, natural and environmentally friendly products. The prospects for further expansion of the Association’s cooperation with Russian partners and regions were discussed.

Within the framework of the event, a cooperation exchange in the B2B format was held and mini-exhibition of textile products was organized, which aroused keen interest among the guests of the event.

In addition, the perspectives of establishing cooperation between the Uztextile Association and Russian Sberbank and leading companies in this industry were discussed on the sidelines of the event.

Within the framework of the event, a fashion show of alkaline products was held together with representatives of the Bukhara Brilliant Silk company.

According to Russian experts, such visits by business delegations of Uzbekistan help to inform Russian companies about the huge and unique potential of textile products manufactured in the country.
