Uzbekistan concludes over $126 M agreements following industrial fair

According to the results of the cooperation exchange and industrial fair in Uzbekistan, agreements totaling $126.3 million were concluded, Trend reports citing the press service of Uzbekistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The industrial fair and cooperation exchange, organized by Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Economy and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the country, has completed.

The event was attended by Minister of Economy and Industry Botir Khodjaev and Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce Adham Ikramov.

“On the first day of the exhibition, 9,352 different types of products were registered on the cooperation portal, such as engineering, automotive, electrical, construction, metallurgy, chemistry, oil and gas, food and light industry, pharmaceuticals, totaling $44.8 billion. As of to date, 6,911 contracts totaling $126.3 million have been concluded 20,566 types of finished products," said Ikramov.

About 1,000 manufacturing enterprises presented more than 10,000 types of their own products at the exhibition.

The important news of the forum was the announcement of the launch of the trading platform of the electronic cooperation portal, created under the Ministry of Economy and Industry.

The portal is integrated with a database of statistical, customs, tax authorities and certification agencies. Using this electronic platform, users can access important information online, including detailed information on the types, technical characteristics and qualities of industrial goods produced in the country.
