Prices for goods on Uzbek Commodity Exchange down

According to the results of exchange trading on the Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UZEX) from Nov. 25 to 29, 2019, prices for various commodity segments of the exchange market mainly decreased, Trend reports citing UZEX.

During the reporting period, 4,944 tons of RON-91 gasoline were put up for exchange trading at UZEX, of ​​which 3,486 tons of gasoline were sold. Exchange quotation for RON-91 gasoline compared to the previous week with a slight increase amounted to $654 per ton.

Last week, producers sold 4,700 tons of liquefied natural gas totaling $1.3 billion. The exchange price of gas decreased by 0.9 percent and amounted to $286 per ton.

Prices were falling in the black metal market as well. The price of ST 12-35 GS fittings decreased by 2.6 percent and amounted to $575 per ton. The total sales of all types of ferrous metal amounted to 4,900 tons.

The cement market also shows a slight decrease in prices. A weekly quotation for cement of grade PC M-400 D-20 was fixed at $53 per tonn, which is 4 percent less than a week earlier.

Prices fell last week in the cotton fiber market too. The quotation for cotton fiber of the 1st grade, 4th type last week decreased by 1.9 percent and amounted to $1,523 per ton. The price of other fiber varieties of the 2019 crop varied on average from $766 to $1,365 per ton.

The exchange price for I-0760 brand polyethylene last week amounted to $1,176 per ton, with a decrease of 2.7 percent. The total sales volume of polyethylene on the exchange amounted to 1,800 tons.

Last week, there was a slight increase in prices on the urea market. The exchange quotation for urea "B" increased by 0.3 percent and amounted to $191 per ton. In general, 24,900 tons of mineral fertilizers were sold through exchange trading over the week.
