BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec. 7

By Matanat Nasibova-Trend:

The largest producer of alcoholic beverages in Azerbaijan, the Jalilabad-2 winery, located in the Jalilabad region of the country, is developing a new wine production line, an internal source told Trend.

According to the source, the enterprise will manufacture the production of dry and semi-dry wines.

"It is planned to increase the production of wine products by opening an additional line. About 18,000 bottles of wine products are produced daily at the plant. After the introduction of the new line it is planned to bring this figure to 25,000 bottles daily. Moreover, over 10 months of this year, the factory produced over 180,000 decaliters of wine, which is 15 percent more compared to last year's reporting period indicators. Currently, the plant produces over 12 types of alcoholic beverages, including tea and cognac alcohol," said the source.

The source also noted that the company plans to significantly increase the manufacture of its products from next year by using a new modern equipment produced abroad.

“We plan to increase the manufacture of vodka products. New equipment and technical filters have already been installed for this. Furthermore, we expect to increase the quality of our products, which are intended for sale both on the domestic market and for export,” the plant noted.

The plant’s products have a certificate of conformity issued by Azerbaijani State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents.

The company uses Italian and Bulgarian equipment.
