Housing prices go on increasing in Kazakhstan

The cost of one square meter of new housing in Kazakhstan amounted to 292,886 tenge (approximately $756) in November 2019, which is one percent more than in October and 6.7 percent more than in November 2018, Trend reports with reference to the data of the Committee of Statistics of Kazakhstan.

Cost of resale of comfortable housing equaled 199,524 tenge (approximately $515) per square meter, which is 0.4 percent more than last month and six percent more than in November 2018.

Furthermore, the cost of resale of non-comfortable housing stood at 124,857 tenge (approximately $322) per square meter in November, which is also 0.5 percent more than in October and 5.8 percent more than during the same period of last year.

Rent of one square meter of comfortable housing increased by 0.7 percent compared to last month and by 6.8 percent compared to November 2018 having reached 1,494 tenge (approximately $3.8).

Approved in 2018, Nurly Zher State Program for Housing Construction is currently being implemented in Kazakhstan. The goal of the program is to increase the affordability of housing for the public.

To achieve this goal, activities in many areas are being implemented, which inclue financing of the construction of LEA leveraged housing through the mechanism of LEA’s bonds redemption; increasing the affordability of mortgage lending; promoting construction activities by private developers; completion of housing construction within the previously adopted programs; and support for shared housing construction.
