Deputy Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade of Iran Hamid Zadboom outlined plans for the 13th meeting of the Uzbek-Iranian Joint Cooperation Commission to be held Dec. 12-13 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing ILNA.
He added that the talks on investment and trade, tourism and banking sector have already started by various working groups of the two countries.
“A draft of bilateral cooperation is being prepared within the framework of the Joint Commission,” he added.
He said that the draft will be signed at the Joint Cooperation Commission meeting by the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan and the Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade of Iran.
“On the sidelines of the event, a delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran will have a private meeting with the Uzbek side,” he said.
“In addition an exhibition will be held with the participation of 35 Iranian companies at the place of the meeting,” Zadboom said.
Zadboom went on to refer to the previous visit of the First Vice President of Iran and the Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade to Tashkent, saying that several bilateral agreements were reached between Iran and Uzbekistan.
"In addition, we agreed to buy wheat and basic goods from Uzbekistan during the previous trip to Tashkent," he said.
