Turkmenistan is making amendments to the law on licensing of certain types of activities, which will come into force on April 1, 2020, Trend reports Dec. 14 with reference to the published document.
The law determines the legal basis for licensing certain types of activities, and also regulates legal relations arising in connection with its implementation in Turkmenistan.
Thirty-nine types of activities are subject to licensing, including such as banking, medical, pharmaceutical activity, activities regarding the sale of oil products, in the field of production, import and sale of alcoholic products, tobacco products, regarding transportation of dangerous goods, in the field of cybersecurity, activities related to the public demonstration and distribution of audio, video products, etc.
The objectives of licensing are protection of consumer rights, promotion of developing market relations, improving the quality of goods and services, etc.
