A second factory for the production of micronized bentonite and lime powder of Atieh Steel holding was inaugurated by Iranian Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, Managing Director of Mobarakeh Steel Company, and Managing Director of Atieh Steel Co.
Speaking at the ceremony, CEO of Atieh Steel Company Hossein Kafami talked about the development plan for calcining limestone production at Hormozgan Stone and Steel Company, Trend reports citing IRNA.
Kafami pointed out that, considering the planned production of 10 million tons of steel by steel plants of Hormozgan region, the development of lime production with a capacity of 1,400 tons / day will be one of the essential objectives.
“According to the plan, this 400,000-ton plant is expected to be commissioned exploited by Hormozgan Stone and Steel Company in the next two years," the managing director added.
Kafami emphasized that the bentonite and lime micronized powder production plant has been built and put into operations within four months and has an initial capacity of 100,000 tons.
Atieh Steel Co. CEO concluded that the plant provides raw materials needed for pellet production in the Hormozgan Pelleting Units.
“It will create employment opportunities for 20 people, and 100 people will be employed through the construction and operation of the plant,” he added.
