Sales volumes of Iran’s Khuzestan petrochemical company up by 30%

The sales volumes of the Khuzestan petrochemical company in Iran’s southwestern Khuzestan province increased by 30 percent, executive director of the company Reza Saleh Ahmedi said, Trend reports on Dec. 17 referring to the company's website.

“The company’s main priority is to supply the products to the domestic market,” the executive director said. “Epoxy resins and other polycarbonates produced at the company's plant differ from the products of other petrochemical plants by the volume of batches for sale.”

"The products of the Khuzestan Petrochemical Company are put up for sale in small batches," Ahmedi said.

The company ensured 55-60 percent of the local market’s needs from March 21, 2018 through March 21, 2019.

Some 70 percent of the shares of the Khuzestan Petrochemical Company, located in the Mashehr special economic zone in Khuzestan province, belong to the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industry Commercial Company while 30 percent - a certain part of the shares of state-owned companies in Iran which are sold to poor people.

The amount of investments in the Khuzestan Petrochemical Company is 360 billion rials (about $8.57 million).
