Turkmenistan optimizing customs clearance of goods

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, Jan. 2

By Huseyn Hasanov – Trend:

Turkmenistan is optimizing customs clearance of goods and vehicles, Trend reports with reference to the country's State Customs Service.

On the website of the Directorate of Economic Management at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan, a form has been introduced for preliminary informing about goods and vehicles.

It covers data on declarants, attached documents, consignees and senders, vehicles, transport companies, goods, prices and other data required by customs authorities, the report said.

The information is automatically transferred to a single system of customs authorities under an identification number.

Ashgabat considers the development of large-scale transport corridors North-South and East-West, increasing the capabilities of the Central Asia - Persian Gulf communication network and developing transport links in the Caspian-Black Sea region as priorities in its policy.

These projects relate to the expansion of transport and communications between the countries of Central Asia with further access to the markets of Europe, Southeast Asia and Middle East.
