The aluminum production plant operating at Azerbaijan’s Sumgait Technological Park produced over 200 tons of aluminum profiles and polymer pipes in 2019, a source in the Sumgait Technological Park told Trend.
“The plant exports aluminum profiles to neighboring countries, as well as to some European countries,” the source added.
“The plant exported the products to the Danish and Polish markets in 2019,” the source said. “The biggest export volume - over 120 tons of aluminum profiles - accounted for Denmark. Over 60 tons of this type of products accounted for the Polish market. This year, the plant intends to export the products to the Czech Republic and Germany. The negotiations are being held with potential foreign partners."
The aluminum plant produces warm profile aluminum products and aluminum profiles for cold rooms, window systems, tires for electric cars, as well as other types of aluminum products.
Moreover, the plant smelts and prepares aluminum, as well as smelts copper. The productivity of aluminum furnaces is 30,000 tons per year. The local raw materials produced in Ganja city are mainly used in the production process.
