The exports of Iran's small and medium enterprises exceeded $1.6 billion in the first nine months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 to Dec. 21, 2019), Deputy Chairman of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO) Asghar Mosaheb said, Trend reports via IRNA.
Main exported goods were foodstuffs, household items, polymer and rubber items, chemicals, carpets, leather and handbags, Mosaheb said.
The deputy chairman noted that assisting the establishment of export management organizations and export consortiums is a priority for the ISIPO .
To date, 72 export consortiums and 65 export management organizations have been established, the ISIPO official said.
However, Asghar Mosaheb did not name the importing countries.
Recently, decision was made to create 993 industrial parks in Iran and 816 of them are already operational.
