Kazakhstan's trade volume with EAEU countries increases

The value of mutual trade between Kazakhstan and other countries of Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) amounted to $18.6 billion over 11 months of 2019, which is 2.1 percent more compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the data of Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Some $13 billion of the sum account for import (increase of 2.9 percent), whereas $5.6 billion account for export (increase of 0.4 percent).

Russia leads by value of trade turnover with Kazakhstan in the structure of total trade turnover with EAEU countries (92.4 percent in the total share). Four percent account for Kyrgyzstan and 3.5 percent account for Belarus.

The largest part of imports accounts for machinery, equipment, vehicles and tools category with indicator of 27.1 percent of the total import. Some 15.9 percent account for metals, 15.1 percent account for products of chemical and related industries.

Furthermore, 14.3 percent of the import account for products of animal and vegetable origin, including prepared food items, 12.4 percent account for mineral products. Lastly, 15.2 percent account for other imports.

In turn, major part of the export structure (40.5 percent) accounts for mineral products. Furthermore, 26.4 percent account for metals and articles of them, 13.2 percent account for products of chemical and related industries, 10 percent account for products of animal and vegetable origin, including prepared food items, 7.6 percent account for machinery, equipment, vehicles and tools, and 2.3 percent account for other goods and products.
