Sabirabad cannery, Azerbaijan’s biggest producer of canned goods, has increased the production volume of pomegranate juice, the company told Trend.
“The production volume was about 12 million bottles for 2019. This year, it is planned to increase this indicator to 13 million bottles,” the company's source said.
This indicator was about 11 million bottles for 2018.
The large part of the products is exported, while a small part is sold domestically.
The plant also produces narsharab (pomegranate sauce) and aseptic pomegranate concentrate in small volumes.
The company's products have a Certificate of Conformity issued by Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents.
The factory has been operating since 1982, and uses Italian and Moldovan equipment.
