Kazakhstan's export of agriculture goods to decrease

Kazakhstan’s export of soft wheat will decrease by 21 percent over the course of 2019 to 2020 harvesting season amounting to 4.8 million tons, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Grain Union.

Total volume of soft wheat production amounted to 10.4 million tons through the 2018-2019 harvesting season.

Flour export is also expected to decrease by two times to 1.2 million tons.

Total volume of barley production amounted to 3.6 million tons through the 2018-2019 harvesting season. Barley export is forecast to be no less than 1.3 million tons.

Flax seeds were sown on the territory of 1.3 million ha this harvesting season which is 17 percent more than last year. The flax productivity was seven-eight centers per hectare in 2019.

Volume of rapeseed production significantly decreased in 2019 compared to 2018 (by 30 percent) and amounted to 230,000 tons.

Durum wheat was sown on the territory of 430,000 ha in 2019 which is 10 percent less than in 2018. Durum wheat harvesting volume is assessed to be 560,000 tons in 2019, which is 23 percent less than in 2018.
