Iran discloses volume of products exported from Sistan & Baluchestan province to Afghanistan

The volume of products exported from Iran’s south-eastern Sistan and Baluchestan province through the customs and border markets to Afghanistan increased by 77 percent during nine months (from March 21 through December 21) of this Iranian year compared to the same period of last Iranian year, head of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of the province Mahmoud Reza Rahmatian said.

“The products worth $353.6 million were exported to Afghanistan during the reporting period,” Rahmatian said, Trend reports referring to the organization’s website.

“About 47 percent of products were exported from the province to Afghanistan during the reporting period,” the head of the organization added. “The products worth $80.2 million were exported through the customs of the province while the products worth $273.3 million - through the border markets.”

"Building materials (cement), apples, tiles and ceramic products were mainly exported during the reporting period," Rahmatian said.

Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan province has a 300-kilometer-border with Afghanistan.
