China is interested in cooperation with Georgia in four areas, Trend reports with reference to Partnership Fund of Georgia.
Executive Director of the Partnership Fund David Saganelidze, met with the government delegation of China's province of Gansu.
As reported, the parties discussed issues of deepening trade and economic relations. Saganelidze provided the Chinese delegation with detailed information on the activities of the fund.
Representatives of the Chinese delegation expressed their readiness to implement joint investment projects with the Georgian side.
The Chinese side noted its interest in cooperating with Georgia in four areas, in particular in the field of logistics, which includes rail and land transportation, in the field of renewable energy sources, in the field of cultural and educational cooperation, and in the field of the export of alcohol and natural products.
According to the Chinese side, Gansu Province, with its 3,000-year history of winemaking, was the first in China to start producing wine, and delegation members said they saw great potential for Georgian wines in the Chinese market.
The Chinese delegation invited Georgia toattend the Gansu International Investment Forum, which will be held on July 2-6, 2020.
In addition, the Chinese side offers Georgia to hold a special conference on Georgia within the framework of the event, which will allow the international community to receive detailed information on the investment, economic and tourism potential of Georgia.
The parties noted that the Chinese delegation would sign a memorandum of understanding with one of the regions of Georgia, namely, Shida Kartli. According to Chinese delegation, this step will further strengthen trade and economic relations between the two regions.
