Number of Georgian companies registered in Turkey up

Twenty five companies with Georgian capital were registered in Turkey in 2019, which is 11 companies more compared to 2018, Trend reports on Jan. 27 referring to the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB).

The total capital of Georgian companies registered in Turkey in 2019 amounted to 3.3 million Turkish liras ($554,604), while in 2018, this figure was 1.9 million Turkish liras ($319,317).

From January through December 2019, most of the Georgian companies with the total capital of 7.4 million Turkish liras ($1.2 million) were registered in Istanbul (18 companies).

"During the reporting period, three companies with Georgian capital were registered in Turkey’s Antalya province,” TOBB said. “The total capital of Georgian companies registered in Antalya in 2019 amounted to 385,000 Turkish liras ($64,706)."

From January through December 2019, six industrial companies, one construction company, 10 wholesale and retail trade companies with Georgian capital were registered in Turkey.

The remaining six companies with Georgian capital are involved in other sectors of the economy.

The total capital of 10 wholesale and retail trade companies registered during the reporting period amounted to 1.1 million Turkish liras ($184,899).
