Number of Uzbek companies down in Turkey in 2019

Thirty five companies with Uzbek capital were registered in Turkey, which is three companies less compared to 2018, Trend reports referring to the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB).

The total capital of Uzbek companies registered in Turkey in 2019 amounted to 6.8 million Turkish liras ($1.1 million), while in 2018, this figure was 5.9 million Turkish liras ($979,598).

In 2019, most of the Uzbek companies with the capital worth over 5.9 million Turkish liras ($997,315) were registered in Istanbul (28 companies).

"During the reporting period, five companies with Uzbek capital were registered in Turkey’s Antalya province,” TOBB said. “The total capital of Uzbek companies registered in Antalya province amounted to 650,000 Turkish liras ($108,630) in 2019."

Four industrial companies, four construction companies, 21 wholesale and retail trade companies and three tourism companies with Uzbek capital were registered in Turkey in 2019.

The remaining three companies with Uzbek capital are involved in other sectors of the economy.

According to TOBB, the total capital of 21 wholesale and retail trade companies registered during the reporting period amounted to 3.7 million liras ($618,368).
