Number of Chinese companies registered in Turkey increases

Some 115 companies with Chinese capital were registered in Turkey in 2019, which is 28 more compared to 2018, Trend reports referring to Turkey’s Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) on Jan. 31.

A total capital of Chinese companies registered in Turkey amounted to 63.9 million Turkish liras ($10.6 million). Nevertheless, this indicator amounted to 41 million Turkish liras ($6.8 million) in 2018.

Most of Chinese companies (95 companies) were registered in Turkey’s Istanbul city, with the total capital of 51.1 million Turkish liras ($8.5 million).

“Four companies with Chinese capital were registered in Turkey’s Antalya province. The total capital of Chinese companies registered in this province amounted to 645,000 Turkish liras ($107,816),” TOBB said.

In the meantime, 8 mining, 11 industrial, 2 construction, 5 tourism, 46 wholesale and retail companies, and 2 travel companies with Chinese capital were registered in Turkey.

The remaining 41 companies with Chinese capital are involved in other sectors of the economy.

The total capital of 46 wholesale and retail companies amounted to 37.5 million liras ($6.2 million).
