An atelier for sewing women's clothing will open in Azerbaijan's Shamkir district as part of the project implemented in the country with financial support from the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of Switzerland (SECO), Head of Azerbaijan's Association of Women Entrepreneurs Sakina Babayeva told Trend.
As part of a project implemented in Azerbaijan with financial support from the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of Switzerland (SECO), a small enterprise will open in the next region of the country.
"The new facility is scheduled to open in March 2020. The cost of the project is 120,000 manat [$70,588]. The project is financed by the Association of Women Entrepreneurs and SECO on an equal footing. The new facility will provide more than 20 jobs. Similar enterprises are already open in Tovuz and Imishli districts," Babayeva said.
"There are plans to open similar small businesses in 10 districts of the country," Babayeva added.
According to the statistics, over 143,000 women are involved in business activities in Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijani Association of Women Entrepreneurs was established in October 2017 through the support of Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs.
