BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb. 7

By Ilkin Seyfaddini – Trend:

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (FICCI) signed a memorandum to establish a business forum, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.

The purpose of the India-Uzbekistan Business and Entrepreneurship Forum is to help accelerate bilateral ties between business circles of the two countries. Establishing direct contacts between entrepreneurs will help increase the quantity and quality of investment projects, export-import contracts, as well as exchange technologies and experience between the two countries.

As President of FICCI's Ladies Organization Harjinder Kaur Talwar noted during her speech, establishment of Indo-Uzbekistan Entrepreneurship Forum is the result of mutual exchanges and study of cooperation potential over the past few years.

Entrepreneurs, companies and associations of Uzbekistan and India are invited to join the new organization. The forum will conduct bilateral visits, exhibitions, business events, as well as initiate steps to improve the regulatory and legislative framework for cooperation and encourage business activities.

FICCI is the largest business organization in India, uniting over 250,000 companies. It has offices in 12 states of India and eight countries around the world. The organization provides assistance in the implementation of projects in various sectors of the economy through seminars, conferences, trainings, and professional development programs.
