ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, Feb. 13
By Huseyn Hasanov– Trend:
The Nurly Meydan company, a major Turkmen supplier of chicken meat and eggs, plans to more than double its production, Trend reports referring to Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.
Last year, up to 3,000 tons of poultry meat were supplied to the market; this is a third of the total chicken meat volume produced in Turkmenistan.
In the future, the company may bring production volumes to 8,000 tons per year, the report said.
Recently, the first cargo – 32,000 chickens purchased in Hungary – has arrived for a poultry farm in Turkmenistan’s Bereket district of the Balkan region. Another 84,000 chickens will arrive in phases in the first half of this year.
The Turkmen biggest poultry farm includes an automated incubation complex, about a dozen poultry houses, a feed mill for the production of granular and loose feed.
In addition, Nurly Meydan privatized a poultry farm in the Uzyn Suv settlement of Bereket region. The farm is designed to produce 20-30 million eggs per year.
It was earlier reported that a facility designed to farm 14 million chickens a year was commissioned in the territory of Bereket district of Turkmenistan’s Balkan region.
The poultry farm utilizes equipment produced by Belgium’s Petersime and Roxell companies.
The manufacturer also aims to sell products for export. Orders have been placed by Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and China.
