Uzbek businessmen to co-op with Turkish agricultural companies

Delegation of businessmen from Uzbekistan's Bukhara city visited leading enterprises and got acquainted with production conditions and labor organization of their Turkish colleagues, during their business trip to Turkey, Trend reports via Uzbek media.

A series of important meetings in "B2B" format was organized by the Association of Textile and Clothing Exporters in Istanbul. The delegates held negotiations with the management of such industrial companies as ASYA, SENER, YILMAZ, and also visited UGUR and MAY companies to get acquainted with the production process.

Bukhara businessmen also visited the local Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Bursa and got acquainted with the activities of modern production facilities, including textile factories, intensive gardens and greenhouses.

The delegation also took part in the XXIV Eastern Mediterranean International Tourism Exhibition EMITT-2020 in Istanbul.

As a result of partnership meetings, a $65,000 contract was signed with a local company, S.S.Kestel Sus Bitkileri, for the purchase of 20,000 seedlings for intensive horticulture. In addition, preliminary agreements on a number of business areas were reached.

Turkish S.S.Kestel Sus Bitkileri company was founded in 2000 in Kestel district of Bursa. The company produces seedlings to meet domestic and international sales of ornamental plants, as well as certified fruit seedlings.

The Kestel district earns from $15 to $20 million per year from the production of fruit seedlings and outdoor ornamental plants.
