Funds for agriculture dev't to be allocated in Kazakhstan

Some 391 billion tenge ($1 billion) will be allocated this year to fund the agricultural sector of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Board of KazAgro Holding Yerbol Karashukeyev said, Trend reports with reference to the press office of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Agriculture.
Karashukeyev talked KazAgro Holding’s plans for 2020 during the meeting of collegium of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Agriculture.
He said that funding worth 391 billion tenge ($1 billion) is planned within the framework of the holding’s development plan for 2016-2020.
He added that 38.3 billion tenge of the sum ($101.8 million) will be allocated for animal husbandry, 14.7 billion tenge ($39 million) for dairy farms, 10 billion tenge ($26.5 million) for poultry husbandry, 5.7 billion tenge ($15.1 million) for gardening.
In turn, some 44.2 billion tenge ($117.5 million) will be allocated for construction of new and operations of existing greenhouses, 6.2 billion tenge ($16.4 million) for goods processing and so on.
The implementation of the holding’s plans will allow to purchase 156,000 heads of cattle, 160,000 heads of small cattle, create nine dairy farms for production of 46,000 tons of milk and launch production of 30,000 tons of poultry meat a year.
Some 400 hectares of gardens are to be created to develop crop production, as well as 1,500 hectares of irrigated land, 40 hectares of greenhouses, launch processing of 120,000 tons of goods, implement spring field work on three million hectares of land, and modernize 4,500 vehicles of agricultural machinery.

The mission of KazAgro Holding is implementation of the state policy to stimulate industrial development of agribusiness complex on the principles of effectiveness, transparency and effective corporate management of the Holding structures.
