Meat production in Azerbaijan amounted to 573,300 tons in live weight in 2019, Trend reports referring to the report of country’s Ministry of Agriculture.
According to the report, the volume of milk production amounted to 2.1 million tons, while the volume of egg and wool production amounted to 1.8 million tons and 16,100 tons respectively.
In 2019, the volume of meat production in live weight increased by 16,700 tons or by 3 percent, milk production – by 49,000 tons or by 2.4 percent, egg production – by 150.9 million units or by 9 percent, wool production – by 246.1 tons or by 16 percent compared to 2018.

The number of cattle in 2019 dropped by 0.1 percent, while the number of cows, buffaloes dropped by 0.2 percent. Herein, the number goats and sheep dropped by 0.1 percent.
