Seasonal field works in accordance with advanced scientific requirements are underway in Mary province of Turkmenistan, Trend reports citing the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper on March 3.
Over 580 hectares of land are sown under food-grade wheat in the farming Dostluk association of the Iolotan district. Over 240 tenants are engaged in the crop management.
In the Gulistan farming association, wheat crops were planted on an area of 1,170 hectares.
At the moment in the province there are prerequisites for obtaining a crop of 2,425 tons of wheat.
The province prepares for sowing cotton seeds, potatoes, vegetables and melons.
Agricultural products of the local manufacturers, characterized by high quality and environmental safety level, are in demand in foreign markets. The government provides comprehensive support for the implementation of the local entrepreneurs’ export potential, the report said.
Confectionery, fruits and vegetables, chicken eggs, ice cream, juices and concentrates for their production rank among the exported food products.
