Iran's Ardabil Province handicrafts export has increased 3.5 times in current Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), said the Director General of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization of the province.
"The value of the province official handicrafts export from customs reached about $2.1 million, while the export of handicrafts goods transported by luggage amounted to more than $1.8 million," said Nader Fallahipour, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"The support of local handicraft craftsmen and businesses in current year has led to increase of production and export," Fallahipour said.
"Kilim, traditional glassware, precious jewels, wood products, metal works and etching were exported from Ardabil Province to Central Asia, Europe and Persian Gulf states," he added.
