Baki Insaat Senaye, one of the largest industrial plants in Azerbaijan, plans to increase the production volumes of metal profiles used in the construction industry by at least 15 to 20 percent in 2020, a source in the plant told Trend.
According to the source, the production growth is planned in connection with the launch of a new production line in the coming months.
"To this date, monthly production volumes of the metal profiles amount to nearly 8,000 tons. In the first half of this year it is planned to bring this figure to 9,000 tons, and by the end of the year to 10,000-11,000 tons. Such course for increasing the production volumes has been undertaken by the enterprise in connection with the export plans. The export share envisions construction fittings, steel billets, сhannels, and also metal profiles to be added after launching the new production line," the source said.
As the potential export markets Georgia and Iran have been considered so far.
"In the future, the enterprise can establish relations with Central Asia countries, in particular Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Negotiations regarding the issue will be started in the first half of this year", the source added.
Baki Insaat Senaye plant is located in Kishli settlement near Baku.
