Iran names investments made in manufacturing, industrial sectors of Markazi Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 12

About 299 licenses for investments in manufacturing and industrial enterprises were issued during in the current Iranian year (begining March 21, 2019) so far in Markazi province of Iran, said Javad Hasani Head of Markazi Province Industry Mine and Trade Organization, Trend reports citing the organization's official website.

According to Hasani, a total of 134.9 trillion rials (about $3.21 billion) were invested.

Hasani added that 2,828 people have been employed by start-ups in the metal, non-metal, drug, health and food, chemical and electrical sectors.

Hasani said that in addition, 711 industrial enterprises were licensed this year. Business licenses increased by 10 percent compared to the previous year.

“The funds needed to create these businesses are estimated at 100 trillion rials (about $2.38 billion). This figure shows a 32 percent increase compared to last year,” he said.

Hasani added that more than 17,000 people will be employed by commissioning of these facilities.

Iran's Markazi Province has 2,900 small and large industrial enterprises.
