Azerbaijan’s biscuit factory talks about development of new types of confectionery products

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 11

The Lezzet Gida biscuit factory located in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is working on creating a new production line of confectionery products, a source in the factory told Trend.

“The factory plans to complete the development of the production line of several types of cookies and wafer cakes in the coming months,” the source said.

"We have already begun to increase the volumes of packaged confectionery products including packages with pistachios, peanuts and almonds,” the source said. “It is planned to increase the production of these types of products up to 20 percent this year. It is planned to increase production volume up to 40 percent till the end of this year.”

“Presently, the products are sold in the domestic market in Nakhchivan, as well as in Baku,” the source said. “We intend to supply the products to the neighboring markets in the region, namely Georgia by late 2020.”

The products of Lezzet Gida factory have a certificate of conformity from the Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents.

The factory has been provided with modern Turkish equipment.
