Georgia increases cement import from Turkey

Turkey's cement exports to Georgia increased by 15.5 percent over the period from January through February 2020, having amounted to $7.4 million, Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend.

Turkey's cement exports to Georgia amounted to $4.1 million in February 2020, which is 7.1 percent more compared to the same month of 2019.

Cement exports accounted for 2 percent of Turkey's total exports over the period of first two months of 2020.

Turkey's total cement exports exceeded $597.8 million over first two months of 2020, having increased by 15.3 percent, compared to the same period of 2019.

Turkey's total cement exports amounted to $309.8 million in Feb. 2020, which is 16.3 percent more compared to the same month of 2019.

Cement exports accounted for 1.2 percent of the Turkey's total exports in February 2020.

Turkey has exported cement worth $3.6 billion over the last 12 months (Feb. 2019 through Feb. 2020).
