A major metal processing facility in Azerbaijan - Khirdalan Steel Construction Plant, owned by Azerbaijan’s Akkord Industry Construction Investment Corporation OJSC, will increase production in 2020, a source in the company told Trend.
According to the source, currently the enterprise produces about 300 tons of steel monthly.
“Akkord Industry Construction Investment Corporation is working on increasing the capacity of this enterprise. It is planned to bring production rates to 500 tons per month. To this end, the corporation has purchased new modern equipment, with which we plan to almost double production volumes. In April 2020, it is expected to launch two new production lines, through which it is planned to significantly increase the production of metal parts for cement plants, as well as auxiliary structures for metal casting," the source noted.
In the near future, new lathes intended for processing steel billets will be involved, the source added.
The company produces metal casting furnaces, heat treatment furnaces, as well as equipment for cooling metal products.
Khirdalan Steel Construction Plant has been operating in Azerbaijan since 2015.
Akkord Industry Construction Investment Corporation OJSC was established in August 2010 and operates in two segments - construction and production.
In particular, the corporation is engaged in the production of various building materials, is a contractor for a number of projects for the construction of road transport infrastructure, and is also involved in the construction of residential complexes in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula.
