An Azerbaijani aluminum plant producing aluminum profiles plans to increase production volume this year, a source in the aluminum plant, which is one of the residents of Azerbaijan’s Sumgayit Technologies Park (STP), told Trend.
“The production of other types of aluminum products, electric tires, as well as copper alloys is planned to be increased,” the source said.
“The productivity of aluminum furnaces installed at the plant is 30,000 tons per year, which allows increasing the production volumes up to at least 15–20 percent this year,” the source said. “At the same time, aluminum products are planned to be exported abroad.”
“The Eastern European markets are considered as the potential markets,” the source said. “The plant exported 150-170 tons of aluminum products to Europe in 2019. The negotiations are underway with potential partners from Germany and Slovakia in 2020."
The plant also produces warm-rolled and cold-rolled profiles, window systems and other products. The local raw materials from Ganja city are mainly used in the production process. The aluminium plant was commissioned in the Sumgayit Technologies Park in 2014.
