Azerbaijan’s biggest industrial enterprise - Ganja Aluminum Plant plans to increase export potential this year, the source told Trend.
“The biggest export volume accounted for Ukraine and Hungary in 2019,” the source said.
“Over 30,000 tons were exported to the Ukrainian market while 18.1 tons of aluminum to Hungary in 2019,” the source said. “At the same time, aluminum products have been exported to the US, Russia, Turkey, Sweden since the beginning of this year. Moreover, the biggest export volume among these countries accounted for the Russian market.”
“The plant plans to export the products to South Korea and Australia this year,” the source said. “The plant is holding the corresponding talks with foreign partners."
"Since the beginning of this year, the plant has produced 8.9 million tons of primary aluminum,” the source said. “At the same time, this indicator amounted to 50.1 million tons of primary aluminum in 2019. The plant plans to increase the production volume by 15-20 percent this year."
Presently, the plant is operating at full capacity, all the workshops of the plant are used.
The plant produces primary and final aluminum products, as well as semi-finished products in the form of aluminum sheets.
