Azerbaijani enterprise to develop new line of alcohol products

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 21

The largest winery operating in Azerbaijan’s Jalilabad district will soon start developing a new line of cognac products, Trend learned from a source at Jalilabad-2 winery.

The source noted that it is planned to start the output of this product in summer of this year.

“The enterprise intends to increase the cognac production for export. Currently, the winery produces more than 20,000 bottles of wine and 10,000 bottles of cognac. Plans are to increase the volume of production by 30 percent by the year end. The winery plans to export alcohol products to Russia and some CIS countries this year,” said the source.

The winery produced more than 170,000 decalitres of wine in 2019, or 17 percent more than in 2018.

Over 40 percent of the products were exported abroad.

The winery’s products have a Certificate of Conformity issued by the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents of Azerbaijan.

The winery has Italian and Bulgarian equipment.
