Turkey exported 10,385 tons of tubes, pipes and hollow profiles, iron or steel totaling $6.7 million to Georgia in from January through February 2020, Trend reports referring to Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).
On an annualized basis, Georgia increased the import of tubes, pipes and hollow profiles, iron or steel from Turkey by 2,669 tons.
Over the same period last year, 7,716 tons of tubes, pipes and hollow profiles, iron or steel were exported by Turkey to Georgia for a total amount of $5.8 million.
During the reporting period. Turkey exported 18,388 tons of particle board and similar board of wood or other ligneous materials totaling $5.2 million to Georgia, an increase of 4,69 tons compared to the same period in 2019.
Over the same period last year, 13,698 tons of particle board and similar board of wood or other ligneous materials were exported by Turkey to Georgia for a total amount of $4.2 million.
Turkey ranks first in Georgia’s commodity circulation.
From January through February 2020, total imports to Georgia from Turkey amounted to $214.5 million. In turn, Georgia exported goods worth $36 million to Turkey.
The foreign trade turnover of Georgia with Turkey in January 2020 exceeded $250.5 million, which is 13.5 percent of the total trade turnover of Georgia.
