Some Kazakh entrepreneurs were exempt from paying a number of types of taxes, Trend reports with reference to the corresponding decree of Kazakhstan’s government.
The decree said that the ‘0’ correction factor has been introduced to rates for the period up to Dec. 31, 2020:
- a property tax for legal entities and individual entrepreneurs on major trading facilities, shopping and entertainment centers, cinemas, theaters, exhibitions, as well as sports and fitness facilities;
- land tax on agricultural land for agriculture producers;
- individual income tax for individual entrepreneurs operating in generally established taxation procedure.
The decree also said that the tax base, objects of taxation, the tax period and the fulfillment of tax obligations will be carried out in accordance with the Code of Kazakhstan ‘On taxes and other obligatory payments to the budget’ from Dec. 25, 2017. The decree entered into force from date of its signing (March 16. 2020).
On March 19, 2020 Kazakhstan’s President Kassym Jomart Tokayev said that beneficial lending to support small and medium business entities over the period of emergency state will be introduced in Kazakhstan. The corresponding order was given to the country’s National Bank.
By a decision of the State Commission on Provision of Emergency State under the president of Kazakhstan quarantine regime has been introduced at 00:00 (GMT +6) on March 19, 2020, in Kazakhstan’s Nur-Sultan and Almaty cities due to coronavirus outbreak.
On March 15, 2020, Kazakhstan’s President Kassym Jomart Tokayev signed a decree introducing an emergency state in Kazakhstan due to coronavirus outbreak, which is relevant from 08:00 (GMT +6) on March 16 till 08:00 on April 15, 2020.
On March 13, 2020, first two cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Kazakhstan among those who arrived in Almaty city from Germany.
The overall number of coronavirus cases has reached 52 people in Kazakhstan.
