The minister of agriculture held a meeting with importers of flour, manufacturers of bakery products and representatives of industry associations.

“Wheat stocks are constantly monitored. In emergency situations, special attention is paid to this area. I emphasize that bread prices will not rise, there will be no interruptions in supplies,” Davitashvili said.

At the meeting, the minister presented measures developed by the government to regulate the prices of nine products including rice, pasta, sunflower oil, flour, sugar, wheat, milk powder, buckwheat and legumes.

Davitashvili reminded that the Ministry of Agriculture has developed state program for the preservation of food prices to be implemented by the Agricultural Development Agency in conjunction with the Revenue Service.
