Iran's Minister of Economy called the export development a necessity for "leap in production”.
“To provide a platform for export, we need to upgrade production technology and improve quality,” Farhad Dejpasand said, Trend reports citing IRIB.
Dejpasand added that the slogan for economic approach of the year chosen by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution is to focus on production.
Referring to the slogan of the new Iranian year (began on March 20), the minister added that to realize the slogan of the year, the producers shall improve quality and offer reasonable prices so that people would prefer consumption of domestically produced goods rather than buy foreign products.
He called technology upgrades a necessity to increase productivity.
"The insurance industry must also function economically and define new insurance, given the country's risky investment and production conditions,” the minister said.
In his speech on the occasion of the new year, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei said it will be ‘the year of leaps in production’ in Iran’s economy.
