Iran's Kish South Kaveh Steel Company increases exports

Iran's Kish South Kaveh Steel Company's located on Kish island of Hormozgan province in southern Iran increased product exports by 22 percent during last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020) compared to the year before (from March 21, 2018 to March 21, 2019), said Head of the company Abdol Majid Sharifi, Trend reports citing the company's website.

According to Sharifi, despite the US sanctions against Iran, the company exported 886,000 tons of steel last Iranian year.

Sharifi added that in total, the company produced 1.15 million tons of steel ingots last year. This is an increase by 14.7 percent compared to the year before last.

The official said that the company produced 10.1 thousand tons of steel in three days of this Iranian year (began March 20, 2020).

Sharifi said that 310,000 tons of steel were sold in the domestic market last year, which is an increase of 28 percent compared to the previous year.
