Japan financing four new projects in Georgia

The government of Japan is financing the implementation of four new projects worth half a million USD in Georgia, Trend reports via the Embassy of Japan in Georgia.

Georgia and Japan signed the agreement regarding these projects in March 2020.

As reported, the projects will be developed in various regions of Georgia.

The four projects include purchase of ambulances in Telavi, Ambrolauri, Zugdidi and Ozurgeti municipalities of Georgia - $290,500, purchase of a garbage truck in Shuakhevi municipality of Georgia - $68,500, construction of a kindergarten in the village of Zanavi in Adigeni municipality of Georgia - $72,607, purchase of a mobile library for high settlements in Adjara region of Georgia - $72,000.

In total, Georgia received $503,607 to implement all four projects.

Georgian-Japanese diplomatic relations were established on August 3, 1992, just over one year since Georgia became independent from the Soviet Union.
