Uzbekistan to start producing its own mechanical ventilation systems

Uzbekistan will start producing its own mechanical ventilation systems, Trend reports citing the Uzbek Ministry of Innovative Development.

"Construction of the production site in Bektemir District of Tashkent is planned to be finished until September 2020," the message said.

Joint Slovak-Russian-Uzbek CHIRANA ASIA enterprise has been established to produce the latest medical devices. The products are planned to be exported to Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan.

At the first stage, it is planned to attract $3 million of investments and open 30 jobs. The second stage envisages investments in the amount of $5 - $6 million and increasing the number of job places to 100.

"Such production will be carried out in Central Asia for the first time, and will accelerate import substitution in the medical industry. In addition, a powerful service center with spare parts for repair will be created, seminars on application of IVL and NDA will be held with invitation of high-class foreign specialists in anesthesiology," the report says.
