President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has highlighted the importance of stable trade and economic relations between Turkic countries, Trend reports with reference to “Zolotoy Vek” (Golden Age) newspaper.
At the initiative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, a summit of the Turkic Council was held in the videoconference format. The summit was dedicated to the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
The president of Turkmenistan said that he was doing all the necessary work to ensure that trade and economic relations of transport communication between the states were regular. Turkmenistan also works to preserve mutual supplies and transit traffic.
Berdimuhamedov noted that due to the joint efforts of Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, the ferry service across the Caspian Sea between the Turkmenbashi and Baku ports continues to operate.
All the Turkic States represent a territory through which international cooperation in Eurasia is carried out, said the head of Turkmenistan.
The current and future stability of economic processes on the continent depends on the actions of the Turkic countries, added the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
