Joint Uzbek-Russian enterprise launched for production of polyamide, polyester

A new joint Uzbekistan-Russia venture SYNTTEX LLC was recently created, Trend reports with reference to the Uzbek media.

The JV was established on the basis of Uzbek Fargonaazot JSC, with participation of Russian SYNTTEX RUS LLC.

The joint venture is aimed at resuming production of Polyamid-6, creating a new type of products, such as: polyamide, polyester and polyester staple fibers, meeting the needs of manufacturers of car tires and conveyor belts in cord and technical fabrics, as well as textile enterprises of Uztextilprom Association.

Modern, automated and energy-saving equipment from European manufacturers is to be used in production, from such companies as Benninger, Oerlikon Barmag,Trützschler, Dornier, Polimetrix, Dietze & Schell Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co. and other European manufacturers.

Development of project documentation is conducted jointly with design institutes for further implementation. The preliminary cost of the project is $90 million.

Fargonaazot JSC - producer of chemical fertilizers in Fergana city, Uzbekistan, was founded in 1962.
