Sanctioned Iran exported goods to 128 countries since March 2019

TEHRAN,Iran, April.24

Iran has exported goods to 128 countries in the last Iranian year (started March 21,2019) despite the US unilateral sanctions, said the head of Iran Customs Administration Mehdi Mirashrafi.

"Iran's statistics indicate that around 70 percent of its foreign trade during the last Iranian year (started March 21,2019) was with Asia while Europe was close second," said Mirashrafi, Trend reports citing the Customs Administration.

"Iran has imported goods from 112 countries and exported its products to 128 countries," he said.

"The value of Iran's foreign trade was $85.1 billion, 169 million in volume during the last Iranian year (started March 21,2019)," he added.

"Iran exported goods to 40 European, 21 Asian, 28 African and 12 American countries, while it had imports from 41 European, 31 Asian ,12 American and 11 African countries," he said.

"Iran's share of export to Asian countries was more than $30 billion while it has imported goods worth more than $27.7 million from there. The country's export toEuropean countries was worth more than $9 billion and its import was worth about $15 billion," he said.

"Iran's export to African countries stood at $400 million and it's import was worth $22 million," Mirashrafi added.

Among Iran's top export destinations Mirashrafi named China ($9.4 billion), Iraq ($8.9 billion) and the UAE($4.5 billion).

"Meanwhile, Iran imported $11.2 billion worth of goods from China, $8.9 billion worth of goods from the Emirates and $3.4 billion worth of goods from India," he added.

"Turkey is Iran's top export destination among European countries with $5.4 billion. Iran has most of its goods imported from Turkey ($4.9 billion), while $2.1 billion worth of goods were imported from Germany, $1.1 billion - from Russia," he said.
